Our Herb Garden

A full garden would be nice someday. But for now, we cannot do without the herbs (plus a couple hot pepper and tomato plants). We don’t always find time to cook – but when we do, fresh herbs are a staple. From brick-oven pizza and street-style taco toppings to a homey bowl of pho, piled high with fresh basil, cilantro, and mint. Here are some of our favorites to grow & the delicious reasons we harvest them:

BASIL – margarita pizzas, pho, classic spaghetti, salads

ROSEMARY – sweet potato fries, white pizzas, salads

CILANTRO – tacos, pho, bahn mi, fish

MINT – fruit salad, bahn mi, pho, couscous

FENNEL – fish in a bag, mussels

PARSLEY – littleneck clams with lemon & white wine
